• 1984年1月24日に発売された「Macintosh」を機にロゴタイプも Motter Tektura から Apple Garamond へ刷新された。
• コーポレートフォントのサンセリフは Helvetica Neue が採用された。
• 他の Garamond と比べるとソリッドで直線的、Xハイトが高めである。
• 一般には1992年頃に Image Club Graphics 社からデジタルフォントがリリースされたと考えられる。
• 1987年のマニュアル「Apple Logo Standards」では、ITC Garamond が採用されたことが記載されている。
• Image Club Graphicsは、1985年に Greg Kolodziejzyk 氏によってデジタル画像とフォントのライブラリとしてカナダのカルガリーで設立された。 1994年、Image Club Graphics は Aldus に買収され、Aldus は1994年8月31日にAdobeに合併された。
